New York Women in Film and Television (NYWIFT) hosts an annual event exploring the confluence of fashion, film, and television called Designing Hollywood. Created in 2000, the event honors women's outstanding contributions in the fields of costume design and make-up artistry. In this episode of Designing Minds, Zoom In features acclaimed costume designer, Sharen Davis, for her creative input on over 20 films, including The Pursuit of Happyness, Dreamgirls, and Ray. Her subtlety and influence on actor-to-character development has earned her two Academy Award nominations, as well as a reputation for excellence within the industry.
